Civics Unplugged pioneers a forward-thinking civics curriculum that blends personal development, systems thinking, and participatory learning to train America's Civic Superheroes to imagine and build the future of their communities and their democracy. The curriculum is first being delivered during the Civics Unplugged '20 Fellowship to CU's two-hundred Founding Fellows. The curriculum will be open-sourced in Q3/2020.
Civics Unplugged empowers the young leaders of the Civics 2030 community to host Campaign Gatherings that bring together aspiring and existing Civic Superheroes—both virtually and in-person—and inspire attendees to bring their gifts to the democracy table and push the Civics 2030 campaign forward. Campaign gatherings start February 2020.
Civics Unplugged builds the intergenerational Civics 2030 community, which is committed to harnessing the collective intelligence and resources of America's Civic Superheroes and investing in the young people and ideas that build the future of American democracy. The community comes to life on July 1st, 2020 at the first annual Civics Unplugged Convention.
THE CHAMPIONS OF CIVICS 2030
Civics 2030 is powered by the Civic Superheroes of the CU community who are committed to using their superpowers to build the future of American communities and American democracy.
Each superhero strives to embody...
The mental and moral strength to step out of one's comfort zone and persevere in the long journey to make change in spite of the challenges that lie ahead.
The long-term dedication one has to advance the Civics 2030 campaign and turn the community's 2030 vision into reality.
The spirit of gratitude and respect one has for fellow members, and the acts of service they carry out to nurture their communities.
