In service of the Civics 2030 Campaign, I pledge to...
Connect other Builders with diversity and inclusion training through DICCE in order to make their change efforts more inclusive and foster appreciation for different lived experiences when strengthening communities and our democracy;
Bring innovative educators, student-voice advocates, and education policymakers into Civic 2030;
Help with graphic design and artistic vision to amplify the message and brand of Civics 2030;
Contribute my knowledge of video production, podcast editing, and storytelling to best spread Civics 2030 vision.
I have joined the Civics 2030 Campaign because...
I believe Gen Z has the unique ability and courage to enkindle meaningful, effective, and inclusive change in our communities and our democracy.
To me, a flourishing democracy is one...
where all citizens feel that their voice and vote has an impact,
where government and officials are easily accessible to their constituents, and
where equity and the impact of lived experience is the priority of policy.
To me, a flourishing community is one...
where community members feel empowered to take on detrimental systems,
where everyone feels heard and a sense of belonging, and
where people assume good intentions and learn from each other.
In my development as a Civic Superhero, I strive to embody...
Ambition: To try something new and continue to push the boundaries for what is possible and to dream big.
Curiosity: To learn as much as I can in order to open new doors and cultivate passions.
Compassion: To exercise kindness and seek understanding from others and myself.
Inclusivity: To make stakeholders and others feel included and heard with a focus on equity over equality.
Contribution: To use my talents and skills to contribute to communities and amplify the gifts of others.
